The “urban history and culture research team” in Shanghai, whose research areas include history and culture of China, sociology and anthropology. At the end of 2018, it pioneered the cultural concept of “Urban Archeo”, which transformed historical and cultural excavation and intellectual production into various forms of socialization and marketization. In less than 4 years, it has developed into a pan-cultural concept which is extremely popular in Shanghai and it has become one of the five key IP development of Shanghai Municipal Administration of Culture and Tourism in 2022. As an important physical venue for the operation of history and culture marketization, the Urban Archeo Library has created a brand-new possibility for “Culture +”. It displays open culture on the first floor and has casual bar space on the second floor, which is mainly packaged ideologically with ancient books, historical maps, social science books. The Urban Archeo Library is taking ROCKBUND as its center to spread the power of culture throughout Shanghai.
